Saturday, March 14 is our Annual Meeting for election of officers. We were told in the letter sent out to all homeowners that there are two positions to be filled at this meeting but we were not informed as to who is up for reelction nor was anyone notified they could have their name placed on the ballot. Evidently, they don't plan to hold the Annual Meeting since they have already announced the Officers and Directors. The Banner announcing the Annual Meeting has not been on display for the past two years. What happened to it? Why it is not being used?
Barbara Jones did a lot of work without a Board since she became President in January and now she is appointed Sectretary/Treasurer. She fired Grace Community Management Company and hired TMG back as our management company. She also fired Tucker and Tighe who was just hired last May by TMG. She also rehired Steve Mason as out attorney who, by the way, had the highest price rates of all the attornies who ever supported our Association. All this was done by herself as no Board meeting had been held since January. What gave her the right to do this when the previous Board was recalled for doing the same thing? It appears we have selective government within our Association.
Please plan to attend the meeting on Saturday to find out what the new Board has planned for our community. If no quorum (90 homehowners) is reached the Board can adjourn the meeting. However, those homeowners in attendance can request the meeting remain open for 90 days so an attempt can be made to reach a quorum. If an election is held at a later date the ballots need to be sent to a non-involved third party to insure there is no ballot tampering and all homeowners are allowed to run for election to the Board. Just because there are new Board members due to the recent recall does not mean they were duly elected. The recall was not open to all homeowners so not everyone had a chance to participate. THE ANNUAL ELECTION IS OPEN TO ALL OF US!
